Ingredients
Directions
    1. Marinate chicken pieces with ground green chilies, 1 teaspoon salt, chili powder, yogurt, ginger garlic paste, white cumin powder, all spice powder and keep it for 1 hour.
    2. Boil rice with 1 tablespoon salt and whole spices till half done.
    3. Now peel and cut potatoes in halves soak and fry till golden color.
    4. Heat 3/4 cup oil in a pan, add marinated chicken with 1/2 cup of brown onion and cook till tender.
    5. To Assemble: In a pan put 1/2 rice, cover with chicken mixture, then potatoes, half cup fried onion and chopped garam masala. 
    6. Now put remaining rice on top and yellow color mixture, simmer for 15 minutes.
    7. Bombay biryani is ready to serve.

HI Chef, i actually tried manikg this recipe with shahi biryani masala instead of biryani masala and i used half of the 50 gm sachet for 1 cup of soaked rice..i couldn't buy saffron so i didn't use it..nor i had the nuts rest was the same but i was quite sure that the flavor wouldn't be of much difference..unfortunately it didn't turn out good..:(..i am sure? i did a big mistake..can you tell me what i might have gone wrong with ?:(
